The 2026 outdoor track season has begun and Ekiden alums have not wasted time dropping some impressive 10,000m times. Derek Amicon (Cornell), now running for the Enclave, made his 10k debut at the Raleigh Relays and finished in 8th place overall with a 28:33.75. Meanwhile, on the other side of the country, Acer Iverson (Harvard), now running for Union Athletics Club, competed at the Ten in San Juan Capistrano, CA and ran 28:20.33 for 5th place.

On a hot (78F), humid, and windy day in Izumo, Japan, the Ivy Select team began their quest to improve upon last year’s fifth place finish. Stage 1 saw a large lead group of runners staying in a pack with Ben Rosa (Harvard) in the mix. With about 1k to go, Chuo University runner Kaisei Okada blew the race open to take the lead.
